Hydrophobic means to repel, the better levels of hydrophobicity the better protected and easier to clean your vehicle will be. Different grades of ceramic coatings offer different benefits, advantages and performance. Budget dependent, different coatings will offer improved levels of hardness, durability and repellency. The key purposes outlined above feature in all of the coatings but the higher grade the coating, the better it will bead, the harder it will be and the longer it will last.
The Key to the success of a ceramic coating is the preparation. Any surface being coated (wheels, glass or paint) must be sufficiently prepared for the coating to bond, it requires a primer too. Every level of detail we offer includes the same standard of washing, deep cleaning and decontamination, to us this stage is a basic principle of detailing and should be the same standard across the board. Every vehicle spends at least half a day undergoing the decontamination stages. At this point the detail is broken down and the choices are outlined below. We offer three stages of paintwork preparation, each differing in levels of paint correction. Paint correction refers to the machine polishing stage. Each level suits differing budgets, an enhancement detail being our entry level and the Ultimate detail providing the biggest transformation. Each service including a primer stage which involves applying a primer polish via machine to the surface receiving the coating in order to ensure it sufficiently bonds to the surface of the vehicle. This priming process ensures the coating properly bonds and lasts for the claimed durability.
